This is a single movement violin concerto. It was first composed for violin and piano in 1994, and later, in 1997, it was re-arranged for violin with piano, timpani and string orchestra. The main theme is taken from a popular folk love song, which was originally collected and arranged by Robin Wang, a legendary Chinese folk musician. The piece portrays a romantic fairy tale with a pastoral life style.
